I know the turntable and stylus doesn't come close to what I can do with a
SL1200MK2 (my turntable only accept P-mount cartridges, yuck), but this will
have to suffice as I don't use vinyl all too often, nor do I have the money
to buy the best equipment. The sound will probably come off as "bright" for
most people.
Kanye West is smart, he doesn't release his best instrumentals on CD, only
vinyl,so now you all can enjoy the Can't Tell Me Nothing instrumental!
The voice of the girl you hear throughout the track is the singer of
the band Sneaky Sound System.
Decided to use Lame 3.90 on this. Why? Lame 3.97 has distortions on certain
samples; I don't know if you guys are aware of this. Check:
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=58061
There's more threads regarding Lame 3.97's "sandpaper" issue, but I won't list
them here since that will take too much time. Read up on HA. Knowledge=Power.
But never fear, Lame 3.97 is better than 3.90 in most other place. In reality,
it's pretty much down to ripper preference. And while I'm at it, Vinyl owns
CDDA in one aspect; the fact that there's actually dynamic range, whoohoo!
This rip goes out to CR, I know they love our overly lengthy/technical nfos, so
we made another one for them :P. We just want to demonstrate our skills and show
that we know what we are doing at this team, unlike most of the other new
groups...
Don't forget to support the artists! We did.
